Monoslideshow 2 http://www.monoslideshow.com is one of the best flash slideshows i have ever seen.
Only disadvantage: it costs 25 EUR, but you can use it on as many web sites as you want.

This extension allows you to create flash galleries with the flash gallery Monoslideshow 2.

You need a licensed copy of Monoslideshow (25 EUR):

• copy monoslideshow.swf to /system/modules/monoslideshow/monoslideshow.swf[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]

To change the look and feel of the slideshow:

• go to http://www.monoslideshow.com/demo[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]
• customize the look and feel of Monoslideshow[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]
• export the config via "GET XML" button[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]
• create a new TYPOlight template starting with "monoslideshow_"[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]
• replace the content of the new template with the downloaded XML file[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]

• TYPOlight installations in sub directories are now supported[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]
• Own templates in /templates are nor supported[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]
• Alt image if Flash is not installed or Flash versios is lower than 9[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]
• You must clean /system/html after installing this update![/*:m:3kzdh4gl]

A new version is available:

• XML with config will not be written anymore in system/html, so changes with MetaCreator (meta.txt) or template changes will happen right away.[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]
• wmode=transparent, menues are now on top of the sllideshow[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]
• No more error messages in the backend[/*:m:3kzdh4gl]

I'm running into problems with the extension, where the frontend Flash file says "No images found in .XML-File." I though the issue might be because TYPOlight is installed in a subfolder. For instance, my site is at http://www.domain.com/folder/. I checked the XML file and it shows the image paths as /tl_files/slideshow/image_1.jpg. I manually changed it to by /folder/tl_files/slideshow/image_1.jpg but it didn't fix the issue.

The only other issue I can see is that there are several extra tags wrapping the images near the end of the xml file. For instance it has:

	<contents>
		 <album>
<contents>
<image ...>
<image ...>
</contents>
</album>

	</contents>
</album>

hi ben,

before i start making changes to extension, we need a working XML for your site. after you have manually changed your XML file, please right click in the flash file (frontent) and use flash settings to clear your cache. reload the page.
it it works, please email your original XML file to hauser@levelseven.at.

just to let you know, i have solved the issue with ben's help:
you have to use the latest version of the flash file from http://www.monoslideshow.com.
my extension only supports the curent version 2, and not the older 1.x.

the second issue we found, with TYPOlight installations in subdirectories, will be uploaded to the extension repository later this week.

Hi,

i can't get *.flv to play in monoslideshow.
It just says: slideshow doesn't contain any items.
Images get displayed fine.

The .de forum is down.
