Yellow Pages Add-on?

Hi,

I am very new to Typolight!
I thought I can use it to build a kind of "yellow pages" websites. A page, where companies can register and pay for a details page. Is there already something on the market?

Hi Heohni-

I don't think that there is anything off-the-shelf here that would do that, but it is possible. I would say you would need a version of the catalog extension (available in the repository) and modify that to tie in with the members table and build a payment module into it.

We used catalog to do something similar here: http://www.mohawktrail.com. Basically when someone registers we have a series of callbacks that automatically create a related catalog listing, and there are some editing features available to them so they can manage their listing when they log in, and even create and manage multiple listings.

We don't have a payment module tied into that at the moment, but we have a shopping cart extension in development that would allow that functionality fairly easily.

PM me if you are interested in more info. We could certainly help build that for you... But in answer to your question, there's not an existing module that would do that at the moment...

Are there any better ways of doing it now??

Some way to fill out a form, then do a search, and it shows businesses one by one that have that criteria.

I want to know more about yellow pages directory, I am working in a office where my boss superiors want business pages directory where they stored clients emails, phone and fax address to make them contact. I have tried to contact the sources but nothing came up. I will glad if someone give me idea or link to get yellow pages business directory lists
