Thread: Multilanguage site and encoding issues

Default Multilanguage site and encoding issues

    HI Typolight Family,

I am making a Multilanguage website which needs a Template to be saved in unicoded UTF-8. I tried to do it with Notepad... Don't do it ..

Thought I can set Meta charset as UTF-8 in my html document, thing is not as simple. If Typolight Templates saved as ANSI charset, it causes a problem. Also Don't ever rely on Notepad to convert ANSI file to UTF-8. Although Notepad is Microsoft Product, file saved as UTF-8 in Notepad will not work in IE7/8 (which is also MS product not to mention) as its writes BOM.

    cheers TT

I find Notepad++ invaluable, and use it all the time. Its free and powerful.
For those who haven't come across it....
