Install trouble

Hi, trying to load up Tyoplight for the first time to check it out, but I cannot get the install file to work. I get a 403 error that says "The Default index.html file could not be found". There is no index.html file in the root typolight folder, or in the compressed file i downloaded. I assumed it is something that is supposed to be created.

I didn't put the files in the domain's root folder, not sure if that matters. It's in a sub folder (http://www.domain.com/folder/ - so I've been trying to run the file as http://www.domain.com/folder/typolight/install.php). The install.php file is there, I'm not sure what the problem is or what I should do next. My webhost is running PHP 5.2.8 and 5.0.45 on an Appache web server.

That sounds not right. If you can't see the install tool then maybe it's a permissions issues? double check your url path.
have you checked your server with system check tool? http://www.typolight.org/configuring...tem-check-tool

It probably is permissions, but could be htaccess

Check your servers error log
Check your htaccess - make any necessary mods
Change Permissions on your files (if server is running suexec files 644 and folders 755)
