    Default Slideshow2 Firefox Incompatibility

I´ve just experienced a very strange incompatibility with Slideshow2 and Firefox.
The extension preloads the images not correctly and shows parts of the imagegallery during preload.
    Looks very strange.

I´m running 2.7.2 latest version of slideshow (RC2) and FF 3.0.4.
    Anyone the same experiences?

I use the Slideshow only on these 2 pages:

    http://www.beatstreuli.com/random-installations.html
    http://www.beatstreuli.com/random-large ... rints.html

    Best regards, Valentin

    Hi valentin,

    Javascript error
    Code:
    Error: unterminated string literal
    Source File: http://www.beatstreuli.com/random-installations.html
    Line: 131, Column: 44
    Source Code:
          var element = document.getElementById('me);
    Should be 'me'

    Also css errors:
Warning: Unknown property 'zoom'. Declaration dropped.
    Source File: http://www.google.co.nz/
    Line: 5
Warning: Selector expected. Ruleset ignored due to bad selector.
    Source File: http://www.beatstreuli.com/css/bars.css
    Line: 7
    and
Warning: Unexpected end of file while searching for closing } of invalid rule set.
    Source File: http://www.beatstreuli.com/css/bars.css
    Line: 14
In IE 7.0.6 the slideshow covers all of the text in your left div, probably because of the css stuff above

    Hi Valentin,

i know what you mean, this has been also reported by another user.
It seems to happen when a high amount of images is being used but only ocurs when the page is loaded for the first time.

So far i don't have a solution for this problem cause i cant specify if its the main Slideshow2 script or my modifactions for the extension. What might be another hint is that i used the fallback version which builds upon the html. The standart slideshow2 script s building the html with javascript but then there is no fallback so i choosed the first version. Maybe you can manualy create a javacript example to check if the error is in the Slideshow2 script to contact the author.

But you should also check the javacript errors on your page.

    Hi again,

i talked to the developer of the Slideshow2 script and he told me that this error occurs when using the HTML variant.
So the newest release which is 0.9.0 rc3 is using the JS variant to avoid this error.

Valentin can be please tell if its working now?

    Thanks Sabri
