Catalog 2.0 & Modul Catalog Navigation

I´ve downloaded the Catalog 2.0 and tried to find out how to configure the Catalog Navigation Modul. Is this already supposed to work? I got stuck on selecting the "Navigation Field". Where can I define that?

This is not working correctly yet (afaik). scare is working on this one. it was working partially, but the navigation field would be a SELECT field that you want to display as the categories or navigation.

Once we have created a new version, it will be uploaded to the extension repository and then you can translate.

My idea is to replace catalog navigation by more powerfull extension custommenu where you can mix page structure with your own items and items generated from database tables. Should be ready for testing in January, so that dependency may be included in 2.0 release.

Sounds really nice! I installed Catalog 2.0 in test environment and I have to say that it looks very, very promissing. Generate RSS feed from Catalog items, items comments (actually it's possible in current stable Catalog with this module) and few other things (like new fields and frontend editing and create new items) are great. Ofcouse I know that some things are not working yet (alfa phase) but I'm looking forward stable version. And one question what are the new fields "Hit counter" and "Multi column text"? "Hit counter" - is it something for statistics purposes? "Multi column text" I can't test it becouse if I set this field it's occur error during create new item.

Hit Counter is a counter how often a certain Item was displayed in a CatalogReader module. There also is a locking inside, that restricts the hit counting to "one hit per day and IP".

for the multittext field, you need to install the extension MultiTextWidget.

i use contao 2.9.1

i want to use catalog navigation but nothing display...?

(i use taxonomy as field in my catalog items)

what's wrong ?

Hello people ,
Is there any updates regarding this? i want to do my catalog list -- sorted/group by a certain field for example city name --> region --> certain event, how can i do that?

Hi reatalaboc,
you can do that with some pages with only a Filter on it.
The first with the first filter and so on.
But you also can try to do it with the newest Catalog Version from the SVN. The Module was complete rewritten from Xtra.
