Default No active page for page ID ... Error 404 in Log

If you wonder what is the cause for this error
i.e.: Details: No active page for page ID "plugins", host "somedomain.com" and languages "en"

open firefox -> firebug -> Net
if you see red lines than you've found your error

fix paths to your css/js files and you're done
    ConTao rules!
Thank you Leo and the team.

    hello,
I have transferred a local site to another one.
All works fine, exept for showing the files in the ftpo foler with the download module.
The messages in the system file are :

    Fonction: PageError404 generate()
Détails: No active page for page ID "table.css", host "localhost" and languages "fr" (http://localhost/vdl/index.php/table.css)

Please, Some one can help ?

    hello,
    Sal,tanks for replying,
but I don't understand your reply :fix paths to your css/js/images/...etc. files and you're done

Now, after some extentions updates : I have troubles to open some menus
In the back end, for exemple, in the administration module and for system confihuration :
    - all the little triangles don't work at all (so i can't modify parameters)
for instance : a click upon the triangle or upon the green title "front office configuration" do noting ...
    - the help explanations aren't not completed : when I approach the pointer mouse under an help line : nothing is completing the begin of it

    An idea ?
    Thanks a lot

Yep - I get this in my system log all the time - it's full of it.
Maybe there is some element on my page that has a dodgy link - but I'm not aware of it.

The net tool in firebug reports nothing.

If anybody has any info on .htaccess please post.
Does anybody have a suggestion as to why we need to edit .htaccess at all?
What is correct for security in that file?

AFAIK the .htaccess in the index.php path controls access to the root of the website - so it would be nice to get it right.
