Installation NOT in the root

Hi, it seems the installation works as described only in the root directory of the server. Can someone tell me how to install it into a subdirectory?

Just put the files in that subdirectory, and tell Typolight which subdirectory in Settings/Global Configurations/Relative Path.
I really think you need to spend more time reading.

I looked in system/config/config.php the options for setting. I could not find an option for setting the rel. path there. Could you specify where should I set the relative path that shouyld fix this problem?

Log in to the backend......http://yourdomain/yoursubdirectory/typolight
Go to Settings...Find Global Configurations...Place the name of the subdirectory in "relative path".
Adjust other settings to suit too while you are there

I found it. The problem is that I cannot get this far if I install TL in a subdirectory. In other words, I cannot open mydomain/subdirectory/typolight/index.php, which is the backend of TL. In order to get to this point first I would have need to open mydomain/subdirectory/typolight/install.php, that is not possible being in a subdirectory.

That is ENTIRELY possible in a subdirectory.
What is your URL?

Have you added an extra typolight folder by mistake?
Try mydomain/subdirectory/typolight/typolight/install.php.

Sorry, you are right. By the first ÁtypolightÁ directory I would have meant the subdirectory in the root.
