    Default Disable clickable menu items

    Hi all,

I have a drop down with some items whoch only have a submenu. Now, I want to disable the 1 level of some of them. For example

    Code:
Home | Services | About us
          -------------------------
          | Service 1 |
          | Service 2 |
          -------------------------
Now, under the page Services itself, I do not want to have content. So, I want that 1st level not to be clicklable in the menu, only visible. Home and About us do have content and should be clickable.

Is this possible? If so, how?

    Thanks in advance
    Paul

You could hack the navigation template, but a simpler solution would be to make your Services page simple forward to 'Service 1'. This is done by editing the page type for the page under Site structure. I tend to like creating summary information on the top level pages that provides an overview and link to each subpage, though.

I like Ben's advice here. It is particularly good for SEO, especially if you can include targeted key phrases within your link text. Also good for the user as it summarises the content within each section
