Can navigation link directly to a PDF?

I know this is really bad UI but my client wants their PDF brochure linked directly to the main navigation link as in Home | About | Contact | Download Brochure - Right now I link to a page with the PDF as a link not what they want.

This should be simple to do but I can't seem to make this happen. Can this be done :?:

In site structure you set the page "Download Brochure" to type "External Redirect" and put the PDF url in field that appears.
