Default Is it possible to use smilies in comments?

    Hi there,

I just installed typolight today (version 2.8.0) and I am very positive what I have seen sofar.

One thing I cannot figure out how to do: I would like the users of my site to be able to leave a message (comment) and use smilies in their reply. Is this possible with typolight?

Thanks a lot for your reply!

Have you enabled "Allow BBCode" when editing the archive settings? I haven't tested, but this might get it working.

Yes, I have this box checked. But I can only make text bold and italic and so on using the BB code tags, no smilies 8-) unfortunately.

If I would want to do this, does this mean I need to edit the PHP in the template? Or write an extension? What is the best way, do you know?

    Thanks for your help!

I think the best method to add this feature to TYPOlight is to create an extension. I am not aware that one exists to add smilies to news comments.
