Catalog_ext BE,FE & taxonomy as conditional selects

Hi,
Imagine taxonomy is construct like that
2 items > 8 items(Childrens) > a lot of items (sub-Childrens of this 8 items )

Problem (BE):
I want use this as a conditional select in BE i know there is controling checkbox but...
Best way for me in catalog table use 3 selects- dropdown (connected, one for one level) choose first & second and range of proper subchildrens in third level select.
This situation is great in catalog filter when i can setup Filter Fields as tree-view etc..

is it posible in BE ?

My poor solution:
first two levels as checkboxs to control 8 lists

I have set-up parentFilter feature in the new catalog 2.0 version, so you can download and use that instead... Its fully BE featured, but there are still a few FE features incomplete (but these are optional NEW features).
