    Default Security question malfuction

Since the recent update to Typolight 2.8.3, the security question no longer functions. It asks to do a simple math, but returns an error no matter what answer is given.

This only happens in the registration and the lost password forms, which don't have a page in the "forms" section.
If I make a regular form and add the security question to it, that one works fine.

here's a quick mock-up that shows the situation:

Is this a known bug, or is there something wrong with my installation?

    Kind regards,
    Bart.

Try to remove all external JavaScript files. I e.g. know that Twitter Anywhere breaks the security question, because it fiddles around with the form values - although it clearly should not.

    Thank you for the suggestion,

I have no other installations than Typolight with a few extensions (Hepdesk, Cron, Avatar, Geshi, Last Login, Recall, Memberslist)
I don't know where to look for external Javascript files.

Before the automatic update to 2.8.3 all was fine.

    Kind regards,
    Bart.

    The problem is solved.

I ran the install.php tool and noticed there were a few leftover parts in the database of 2 extensions I removed some time ago: the backup extension, because I no longer need it (provider offers backup now) and the PM extension, that I never got to function properly. I allowed the install tool to remove the database columns. After that, the security question works fine again.

    Kind regards,
    Bart.
