    Default Isotope Import Assets

    Hi,

Just wondering how this is supposed to work?
I know it's in testing phase as mentioned in the manual but I clicked the import link and chose a folder that has an image with a filename the same as a sku for a product and it appeared to place the image in to all products, not just the 1.

Maybe I've done something wrong or missread something?? Anyone else tried this?

    Hi vinchenzison -

Very strange... Not sure why that is happening. If you would like some more help with this I would recommend signing up for our Project Manager for Isotope where we can add a ticket for this:

    http://www.isotopeecommerce.com/proj...er-signup.html

Hopefully there we can talk through how to resolve it and post the answer back in the forums...

It's more something I was just testing rather than needing.
Wanted to see how it worked for possible future projects.
Was hoping it would import a CSV file of products and info.

We don't have any plans right this moment for CSV import of products, but I know that it would not be outside the realm of possibility. The tough part would be setting up the attributes, product types, etc so that the import would bring them in properly, but it can all be done.

Most of our work up to this point has been converting existing shops over to Isotope... I have an osCommerce import tool that I have been tinkering with... If anyone is interested I can certainly make it available to them.

CSV import would be very good...
Of course a developer can make import directly in database, but if there would be a native tool — that would be perfect.
