Default Changing title tag generated for new articles

I would like to append a date of sorts to the page title that is generated for a news article, as I have weekly articles that are published with the same name and would like to differentiate between them for crawling purposes. Where is the template where the title for news articles is set?

Well, that would depend on which template you choose when you created your news list and/or news reader modules. You might want to double-check those settings, and then find the appropriate template name(s) in /system/modules/news/templates/. Make a copy in your own templates folder.

If you need help adding the date, there are at least a half dozen or so posts floating around, so a quick search should get you what you need.

Or just go to "Templates" in BE and there create a new template.
