Using Galleries in News Items?!

Hello,

I've been following this CMS for a long time but never got deep in it like I'm doing now. This let me face a problem from my current website migration to contao.

Is there a way to include Galleries, like we easily do in Articles, but in News items?!

I know we can link News to Articles and have an Article with the Gallery I want, but this will make me duplicate unnecessary data (news text). I have a reasonable amount of data so thats another reason for not duplicate the content.

So, anyone already face this problem?! Is there a way to workaround it?!

Btw, for some reason I cannot find this module in the "Extension Catalog" under backoffice. The only way I manage to install was to directly install the module by name ("newsgallery").

Hi alexfont,

in settings, nearly at the end of the page, you'll find the settings for the extension repository. There is a checkbox "show incompatible extension". Check this option and save the settings page. And start searching the ER again by select showing all versions.

Add language as German, this extension is in German, not English

Two way to create a personal script php/javascript

1- Create a php file and iclude it with inset tags
see insert tags page
eg {{file::myfile.php}}

2- Create a mootools tempate and include it on the layer
see the moo_* file on system/modules/frontend/templates folder
