So Contao didn't make the list this year. I recently became privy to the fact that Packt must publish a book about the system for it to win. It makes sense, since the awards are a PR compaign to sell their books.

Have a look at the Hall of Fame nominees: Drupal, Joomla and WordPress. It's funny to see how many people blindly use these systems without doing any research about the available systems.

Here's a fun little exercise: Next time you're bidding on a project and the client has already received some proposals, ask them how many people proposed Joomla and how many proposed WordPress. It's been split 50/50 for me lately.
