Strange backendview

One of my clients has this strange backend view in IE8. I've tried several different versions (TYPOlight 2.8.3, Contao 2.9.1) at his laptop with IE8 and everytime this strange backend where the main is below the menu. When I login at the same systems at my Mac or Windows pc/laptop (with IE7 or IE8) there's no problem at all! So it seems to be a problem with his laptop with IE8. But wat is the problem?

Hi Vascom-

Whenever I see that it usually means that they are viewing pages in their browser with the text size adjusted within the browser. Not sure where it is in IE since I stay as far away from it as possible, but in FireFox it is View >Zoom >Reset.

That usually fixes things up. It will look fine when scaling up but that seems to happen whenever you scale down.
