Question mark in lightbox

When I use a question mark in the alt text/descriptive text for the lightbox image, the picture won't work anymore. It just displays a thumbnail, but not the large picture. How should I enter question marks?
I am using TL 2.7.6, which is kind of old. I don't know if the problem lies there.

You could test it out in the 2.9.1 demo here to see if the issue still occurs. If so, you could submit this as a bug report.

Yes, I just submitted a ticket. It seems a little odd to me that nobody else has encountered this problem, but I couldn't find any previous references to it.

I just tested and I have no problems adding an Image CE and using alt text of "image?". The lightbox worked fine. What CE and what moo template are you using?

I added this:

{{image::tl_files/music_academy/campus/campus_building.jpg?height=120&alt=This image?&mode=crop&rel=lightbox}}

to an article on this page:

http://demo.contao.org/impressions.html

It only displays the thumbnail, but the lightbox doesn't work for me.

Oh, so you're using the {{image}} insert tag. Based on the syntax, it makes sense that there would be a problem. Have you tried putting the alt text in quotes?

Apologies, I was making an entire image gallery by hand with the {{image}} insert tag, not knowing there was a handy little Gallery tool. I have the gallery element point to a directory, inserted a meta.txt file and everything works fine now, question marks and all.
It's all so simple when you know the proper solution. I should probably withdraw the ticket I submitted, no?

Quotes didn't work on the {{image}} insert tag, btw.
