Hide mini-cart when empty

I have a mini-cart in the RH column of all pages (heavily simplified). Is it possible to hide it when empty? In other words, can I get rid of 'There are no items in your cart', though only in the mini-cart, not the full one?

I don't think that is possible right now since we are doing that check in the module code...

The easiest solution would be to see what is outputted and simply hide it using CSS...

OK, that will do for the moment - no hardship if an alternative stylesheet or UA exposes it.
