Extensions on Windows-based web server

Hi,

I have been trying to use the Extension manager on my recently-upgraded Contao 2.9.1 system, but whenever I click on it I just get the error message

SOAP extension not loaded (configure PHP with --enable-soap).

I spoke to my web hosting company and they told me that SOAP can only be loaded on a LINUX-based system, whereas we have our website on a windows-based server.

I am very reluctant to go through the trouble of switching to a LINUX service, as the whole download and restore is a hassle, to say nothing of rewriting all my hardcoded paths in my web.config file (running an online access database through asp.net).

Is there a workaround for someone running on a windows-based server?
