There is an extension in the ER called "usersync"

In addition, for Contao 3 is planned a different (better?) handling of front end members and back end users (in the sense that this distinction is not made anymore!?)

Thanks for the reply, I'll try it but i am afraid if it'll help me in my purpose.
Actually my question is not so clearly put. What i want to achieve is any backend users, when logged in BE, is able to see also the protected pages (with normal URL not preview mode)

Now for that purpose in the mean time i've hacked the core. Very bad idea but can't help.

I would like to see something like what xchs said, make them one-in-the-same where there's no distinction between the two besides setting up group and group policies to control their behavior.

I don't like the extension usermemberbridge because it plays with both data tables (user and member), constantly syncing the data if a change is made. I'd be afraid if the module screws up that it will corrupt the data.

This is still a planned feature for Contao 3. Anticipation is the best joy!
