Adding Members Description field from back end to front end

Currently a member can only enter a description in the backend. How can I insert the description field into the member registration form for the front end? There's no checkbox for it in the Registration module. I also need it for the Personal Data module. I know it has something to do with the member_default.tpl file. thanks!

Not quite sure, so wait for a senior member to put their input, but I'd think you would be able to take the module and change it from be_ to fe_ and it would allow you to add it into the front-end for people to access. I may be dead wrong though :D
