RSS on catalog items

Hello everybody,

I would like to use RSS on catalog items. I know it is possible. But how do i achieve it?

There is an rss extention, but it is only suitable for calendar and news...

Back end module "Catalog" -> Icon "Define fields for catalog ID x" -> Edit the catalog settings -> Section "RSS/Atom feed" -> Enable the checkbox "Generate feed" -> Add all required details for the feed

After that, select the according feed(s) in the "Page layout" settings.

But, and here it comes, there were some issues reported in the project tracker regarding the catalog feed generation. So, try it.

I can't see RSS/Atom feed. Do i need to make a title string?

Yes, click on the pencil icon (that you marked) to edit the catalog settings and you will find at the end of the page the mentioned settings.

I must be blind....
I really cannot see it. Checked an older version of the catalogue and nothing there either.

The site is running on 2.9.0
catalog module not stable for this version. But as said in an older (stable version) I get the same fields.

A bit of a late reaction.... been reallybusy.

is there maybe some documentation on how to work with these svn versions? I am not quite sure what to do....
