Database Update

If you like me, develop custom apps, then you constantly have to update the database. Having to first click on Extension Manager has a long delay, due to the SOAP connection it has to make to check all the extensions first.

Simply bypass this all, by installing the extension custom_be_modules, then grab this icon below and configure it to use the following URL fragment:

do=repository_manager&update=database

very well, I like this extension, too.

Regarding the long delay due to the SOAP connection: if your ticket #2441 gets implemented (hopefully!) in a future release this procedure would be even more faster.

Actually, I'm using the mentioned extension for quick installation of new extensions. Just configure the following URL fragment

do=repository_manager&install=extension

I've made it a habit to leave a tab open with the full list loaded, and opening additional tabs when I go to view a particular extension. I think I'll be using your little trick here from now on :D
