advise needed: integration of existing PHP site

Hi All,

Please can anyone advise whether this is possible:

client has an existing custom made site in php with custom DB with following functionality:
- customer registration/subscription/forms
- invoicing
- etcetera

Client wants to have his site into a CMS and also a template change (static pages are now programmed in php, so maintenance is not possible by client)
I have done some simple tests with the "file" tag and that works.

My idea is to build new site in contao and to keep the existing php code and integrate it into contao.
I am not that experienced in php and Contao to be able to see if any issues will show up.

Any advice is very appreciated

No, this is not a stupid idea.
If you can not convert the functionality in Counto this is a solution

Frank, can you edit the insert tag out of your post please?
I've tried to post to you five times without success.

That zip is my reply to you. You can't attach text files in this forum, and i can't seem to post it. Just download, unzip, read.
Thats 7 times in three threads I've tried to post it now :shock:
I've posted it there so someone can try to see why it does so (its just writing, no code)
Anyway, I needed to know if it takes the forum down or if it was just my IP being blocked.
And it takes the whole forum down, so that means the forum has been offline for 70 minutes today as a result of me trying to answer you!

If anyone wants to discuss, please use the other thread for that.
