Change Language menu disappeared with update

Hello,

I have the module installed and everything worked excellent. This until I made an update to the change language extension.
Now the change language menu is not showed anymore on my page and people can not switch between languages.

I have to mention that my contao version is not the latest. My version is 1.9...

Can this be the problem?

there are pretty much new changes introduced in version 2.0.0. So, take a look at the release notes and the change log:
