    Default XHTML vs. HTML5 Templates

    Hi,

I recently updated to Contao 2.10 and now there are two different kinds of templates: xhtml and html5.
It seems that in my installation only the .xhtml are used. Can someone tell me how does Contao make the choice between the xhtml and html5 templates? Is that a configurable parameter somewhere?

    Thanks!

Yes. In the back end module "(Default) Page layout" there is a field "Output format" in the "Expert settings" section where you can select the options "HTML", "XHTML Strict" and "XHTML Transitional", respectively ("HTML" -> .html5).
