Filter products

Hi
I don't understand how filter works. I want to list in home page ALL the products (category/type is not important) that have price < 10€
I created a module "list product" where I tried to insert SQL statement, but it give me an error. So I tried to add a "product filter" but nothing happens. I think that I don't know how to use it, where can I found info/manual?

When adding a filter module you also have to go to the product listing module and specify it has to use that filter. This way you could have multiple filters for multiple listings on the same page (not sure when you'd need that, but what if you would...)

I've selected the filter module in product listing module, and tried to add and sql statement too
