Saving form element

Hello

Is there any limitation that would prevent saving data coming from the standard Form module in a Catalog ?

In the form module I have checked save data and selected a table, when I submit a form I receive the email, but there is no new record in the table ...

I have found that I need to define a pid with an hidden field, if not the record is deleted by the system.
