    Default STUMPED! Home Page not found in Europe but OK in US...

    Hi All,

    I have a very odd issue and I would like to ask if anyone else has ever come across this.. The website is using Typolight 2.7 (I know, I really should upgrade.. Its coming I promise...)

    This website (http://www.abmac.com) works perfectly in in the US from several locations (Houston, New York, San Fran.) and from any browser I test it in. I have gone over the code within the the home page which also validates per W3C.

    However when viewed in France, Russia or Germany using IE9 the home page results in an Error 404.

    Here is the thing.

    This address is readable to the user in Germany
    http://www.abmac.com/index.php/home => OK!
    http://www.abmac.com/index.php => ERROR 404
    http://www.abmac.com/ => ERROR 404

    The rest of the site is viewable I am told. I was also told that this has been the case for at least a few months. Last, A traceRt seems to check out so this is a page serving issue I believe...

    Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Curtis

    Thanks.

    In Settings. The fallback is set to the following:
    en,de

    How would this affect the home index page from not being served?

    Okay, I have more questions...

    I searched Fall Back and came up with this
    viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3561&p=15174&hilit=fallback+la nguage#p15174

    When I created the website I did create a root site page, but I did not set a default language here. Does this just rollover to the first page in the site directory?

    In settings, should I have listed "de" if the site only exist in "en"?

    Thanks, I think this is will fix issue I am experiencing.

    I do not mean the fallback language in settings but the fallback language in root page

    * go to "Site Structure"
    * click on the pencil near your website root
    * check the "language fallback" option (a checkbox near the language textbox)
    * click save

    the language fallback you found in settings is related to the extensions repository. It is not related to the pages of your website.

    Newer version display a rather large error message when you do not choose any root page as language fallback. (or at least 2.11 will)
