Default How to create a conditional select-menu ?

    Hi everybody,

    I tried to create a "parent-child" relation between a "conditional select-menu" and a "select-menu" attributes but it didn't work.

Which relation do I have to create please ? group checkbox perhaps but how in details ?

    Thanks in advance.

    What did you try?

For as far as I know you'd have the exact same options in the conditional select menu at first, for each one check the group checkbox. Then add new options underneath each group (with group NOT checked). That should then work.

    Hi Ruud,

thanks for your answer but I didn't found the solution yet =)

In fact, below what I tried :
    - I created a "select-menu" (parent) and a "conditional select-menu" (child)
    - I've linked the child to the parent by selecting the "parent field" in the child configuration attributes
    - the parent options group checkbox are checked and the child not

but now, how indicate which parent option has this one or this other one child options ?

In your answer, you specify to add new options underneath each group but where ? all group/options are in the same conditional select-menu ? I don't understand because when you create a conditional select-menu, it ask you to link it to a parent select-menu so I've created 2 select-menu, a normal (parent) and a conditional (child).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Your child select must look like the image below. The parent only contains the items which are checked below (but in the parent they are unchecked).

    Hi sushie,

you have to create 2 select menu :
    > the first one contain the "main categories"
    >the second, which is a "conditionnal select menu", has the same "main categories" but with "categories data" below each categories. In the second one, you check "group" for "main categories". Finally create the link between them with parent select box.

    example :

    MAIN ONE >

    houses 1
    houses 2

    SECOND ONE >

    houses 1 (group box checked)
    house green
    house red
    houses 2 (group box checked)
    house white
    house black
