File downloading extension?

Is there any decent-looking file downloading module with some information about time of uploading, author, number of downloads etc.

What is the most used way to create download pages?

Okay, I found elements: download and downloads. Is there some other alternatives? Catalog?

For now, I can't find some existing example of implemented file download page. Could someone give me a hint?
