Safe mode hack

I'm using the latest Contao version and installing it directly on the online server.

Can anyone explain step by step what do I need to do as I install Contao regarding the safe mode hack?

That article is quite advanced, but what I get is I don't have to do anything with the latest Contao version. Is that right?

Is the the same if working in Xampp or in the real server?

Did you run contao-check.php to see whether if SOAP library is on? If not, you should contact your hosting provider.

Working locally you don't need safe mode hack, but on some servers you do. But, I think that with new installation package, that problem is mainly resolved.
