update versions 2.11 to 3.0

Hi.

I use the 2.11.6 version and can see ver 3.0 is also ready for use. Ver.3 will be the future version.
But will there be any updates so 2.11 ends at ver.3.. Or is it a new installation if I want to use ver.3 in future?

Hi Karsten,

Verstion 2.11.6 is the stable version of contao 2.11.

The new version is Contao 3. All new development of contao will be published in contao 3. Contao 2.11 will no longer be developed by the team.

"Contao 2.11 is the current long term support version of Contao. The branch is being maintained for at least 18 months, however, we are not adding new features anymore. Most of the third-party extensions are com*pa*ti*ble with Contao 2.11.
