Filter calender events by date?

Hello,

I need an extension that can I can use to limit calendar events between two dates, preferible together with
the core search. How is this possible?

I found this extension but it is outdated: calendar_period

You could ask the author to update it to Contao 3. As it seems only the compile function of the original events module was changed, so might not be much work.
