    Default Pre migration extension check

    Hi,

Starting to prepare to migrate from version 2.11.11 to version 3.x and starting to look at some things i need to pay attention to.
So i have some extensions of course, and a couple of them appear not to be supported in v3.x
So i am wondering what others would recommend replacing them with, if a replacement even exists:

    So heres the full list:
    BackupDB — Version to 3.3.2
    changelanguage - Version to 3.3.2
    ch_flowplayer - Version to 2.11.2
    coverpicture Version to 3.2.8
    efg - Version to 3.2.7
    htaccess - Version to 3.0.6
    keywords - Version to 2.11.4
    MetaPalettes - Version to 3.1.2
    MultiColumnWizard - Version to 3.3.2
    myfavicon - Version to 3.1.1
    newslanguage - Version to 3.3.2
    xls_export - Version to 3.2.10

So, which version of Contao v3 should i go with and what extensions can be used to replace extension that are not compatible with any version 3 contao edition.

    Thanks

I guess the LTS Version is a good idea.

Just test it localy first and you will find out if the Extention might work even if it is not tagt for contao3.

With a tool like conta2go you will be able easily to have several localhosts, to work in a local environment.

OK, i did try and google it before your google suggestion.

LTS, ahhh ok Long Term Service....ok. 3.2 is what you are saying. I guess extensions will be updated to work in that version at the very least, that is if they are still being maintained.

Contoa2go, this is not for Mac, although i see a Mac version will follow, which i will look out for. I do have a VS running for windows as well, i guess i could use it. Im already running MAMP, as well as running the builtin Apache localhost.

Do i really therefore need Contao2go at this moment in time??

No, probably not, MAMP should run fine.
