Installing Example Website "No root page found"

To start with, I'm trying to set up a simple website with Contao. As far as I have understood it, I can either start constructing the website from the beginning like in these instructions or I can install an "example website", which would have the basics in place that I can just edit to fit my needs.

I really prefer to have an example website to start with but haven't been able to install it correctly. And keep ending up with the "No root page found" error.

I tried to install both the official-demo and music academy example websites. And to install them I tried both the experimental "Package management" option as well as the normal "extension manager" method.

Both install the demo websites without any problems.

But if I go to themes or articles, they are all empty like this:

Is there something I am missing here?

Yes. You will have to run also the Contao install tool and import the SQL example website template.
