Image galleries - hierarchical groups

I need to create a page for images. My problem is I have no idea how to start, because it needs heavy grouping.

So on the main site I need the top gallery names (Men, Women, etc.) each with a preview image. If you enter one, you can see the child galleries categorized by seasons. Example: Season 2014/2015 (this is just a title) under that a list with title and preview image of match1, match2, etc. If you enter one 'match gallery', you can see the images uploaded, where you can click on 1 image and opens in a lightbox or so. (the season categories must not be a part of the categorization, basically it can be only a headline)

I hope it's clear, if not, i will try to make a better structure
Any ideas?
Would be good if the url would also change, like:
www.example.com/gallery -> main page
www.example.com/gallery/men -> galleries of men team
www.example.com/gallery/men/match-1 -> gallery of match

It seems work like an catalog website.

I think you can create this in two ways :

- Extends pages, add some fields like "image1" ...
- Create an entire module who will allow you to custom every things

I find a module - I don't know if it works for your project - you can look for.
