Adding an extra div after content element for overlay effect on hover

Hi:

I've wrote the styles for an overlay. Now to apply it I need to add a div that affects each of the featuredProject divs, each with a h1, p and img element but place it after the image. The only two ways of doing it that I know, is, one adding the div inside the html of the content element but that places it before the image. The other is adding a content element, but then that's not within the first featuredProject div. How should I add the div? Here's the website: assembly21.com. It featuredProject div applies to each of the boxes in the front page for the projects.
