Moving Typolight webCMS 2.6 to a subdomain (subfolder)

Hi all,
I've been asked to build a website and move the old typolight one into a subfolder on the server (then connect to it via a subdomain), has anyone got experience with this and what is involved?

With magento/wordpress, etc, I know it's just a matter of changing the site URL in the admin area, is it the same situation here?

Hi,

you can do this in the provider's admin panel. Just change the domain configuration and point the subdomain to the new subfolder.

Yes, as this is the usual way.

Don't forget to clone the DB.

Then first you should start the install tool once on this new domain. example.org/contao/install.php and change DB access to the clone.

If there are errors please come back.
