Default Can I add the RSS- or Atom-Feed to the root directory

    Hi all,

I'm creating a RSS feed for our company website.
this works fine so far but the .xml goes automatically to
domain.com/share/feed.xml. is there an option to add the
.xml to the root directory ? i couldn't find any setting to handle
    this.

    thanks for your help!

    cheers,

What is the benefit to save the file there? You know that you could embed the feed URL through the page layout settings?

Yes, of course. Just enable the respective blog newsfeed from the "RSS/Atom-Feeds" section in the page layout settings:

    oh awesome!

if anyone's new to contao and want's to add a new feed to his webpage, here's a short summary of what i did:

    1. create a RSS feed in the contao news/blog module by clicking on RSS-Feeds and config your file.

    2. go to
    Layout > Themes
    > click the 3rd icon from the right (edit pagelayout for theme x)
    > choose the layout you want to add your feed by clicking the edit pen
    > enable your feed in the RSS/Atom Feeds Section

you may have to clear the contao cache after adding your feed to your site.

    thanks @xchs for your help!

There are also some (rudimentary) hints and guidelines in the official Contao documentation:
