HTTP request for "PUT api/task" failed. - Can't do anything in Contao Manager

Having real trouble doing anything in Contao Manager. Manaually updated to 1.9.4 and still the same issue, every time it tries to run a package update, maintenance tasks, rebuild the cache etc. I get a 404 error:

"HTTP request for "PUT api/task" failed."

Can't see anything else in the error logs.
