Recent News Items Menu?

Hi All,

I need to create a drop menu of recent news articles items as an unordered list for a suckerfish type menu. I tried to do this with the a Navigational Menu Module but I could not get it to work.

Is this possible?

No, that will not work because the menu modules list pages, not news items.

But you could use the newslist module, and make a custom template with the unordered list.

I thought about that, but I am already customizing my news-list template. Seems like there should be something like that - guess that's a wish list item.

Vera has posted (somewhere) about the idea of using classes and an "if this class then else if this class then" type of solution within the template to acheive two different layouts.
This may help, perhaps search her posts?

Ahh, thats a clever idea! That's actually better then testing for a page id since its page independent.
