Can't delete files in File Manager

Hi !

I have had success installing and using Typolight, no problems uploading images via File Manager, but now I want to delete some of these image files, and it just won't work. No matter if I just click the red X or select multiple image files, Typolight act as if it does delete the files, refreshes, and the nothing has happened. The files still remain, and no error messages are displayed.

Can anybody tell me what is going on?

Do you use the SafeMode-Hack? Can you move a file? What are the file's permissions, how should they be?

Yes, I use Safe Mode Hack.

Move files how? ... I can do a lot of other operations ... like adding and deleting articles.

The permissions for the specific folder is 755 and 644 for the files located inside that folder.

Please check if the SafeMode-Hack is configured correctly.

You can move a file in the file manager by clicking on the blue arrow button and pasting this file into another folder.

Thanks for your responce.
Well, I ran the SMH-check, and only one red lamp lit up:

FTP path seems not to be correct; temporary file not found.
Please fix the SMH settings in system/config/localconfig.php, and then retry.

I thought the SMH path was supposed to be the root of the entire Typolight structure?!? Do I have to point at a specific folder in the structure? Like tl-files ?

And strange it is: I can actually move files between folders with no problems at all.

The FTP path doesn't has to be the website's root, it might be a few levels up. In what folder do you start normally when you start a new FTP session? The FTP path has to be the absolute path to your FTP's root. Your provider might help out.

As an example, the FTP path on a cPanel/WHM server would be "/public_html".

I don't quite get it though. I usualy know my web folders, and the one I'm pointing to is the folder wherein all web accessible docs are located - including the typolight structure. That is: 3 levels up from entrance point and one level down into the WEB folder ( ../../../web).

But I know ... I'm a newbie to typolight, so I'm all ears :-)

I think you need to use either "/web" or web/".

The web folder at "ground level" is empty except for one (1) index file. I'll ask my hosting provider ... be back a.s.a.p.

I looked at your screenshots again. Maybe it should be "/.users/57/elsefroesigd/web/web". Basically, you need to tell TYPOlight where to navigate to so it can find the system root.

Yeah ... it is currently 4:30am here in Atlanta. :lol: I get very productive late at night without the phone ringing and tons of emails coming my way. I should get to sleep, though, so I'm alert for the TYPOlight team conference call tomorrow.
