    Default How to migrate from Joomla

    Dear Typolight Team

    Thank you very much for this wonderful engine. This is a real quality!
    We are representing youth football community in Baltics. We are running number of tournament and leagues. In the middle of May we are starting marketing campaign for the football festival with about 20 teams. Few weeks we made a decision to migrate from our current Joomla engine to Typolight. Migration is in the middle of the project. However, we are experiencing two serious issues which we are required Typolight Experts help:

    1. How to migrate website from development to production assuming that currently http://www.this-is-site-in-production.com (domain) and dev.this-is-site-production.com (sub-domain)?
    *both located on the hosted server and we have access throught Directadmin;
    *step-by-step guide would be highly appreciated.

    2. We have built user community in Joomla. How do we migrate them over?
    *would it be possible to have a script.
    *there are about 100 users but all of them are critical.
    *we do not have programming experience.

    Once again, thanks a lot for providing us with this engine free of charge ;-)

    Regards,
    Alex

    1. I don't understand the question :? Could you specify it?
    2. You can either move them manually and resend passwords, or hire someone to write a migration script. I don't think anyone will code such a tool for free.
