Contao 2.6.7 Front End fails Windows Server 2008 & IIS 7.0

I am moving to a Windows Server 2008/IIS 7.0 combo.

I have installed an "old" typolight install which was running on an old Windows Server 2003/IIS6 combo with no problem. Typolight installed 2.6.7. I have MySQL 5.0.45 and PHP 5.2.4. I "beleive" I have configured this all correctly to run as FastCGI.

I can access the previously built live customer website on the new server with no problem but I get Server Error 500.0 when trying to log on to the typolight Front End to amend the site.

Is this a valid software combination? What else can I try here?
