Check the source code in the BE. Check for a height restriction on the control, eg style="height:80px". If so, then perhaps another field is setting the height when it shouldn't, and when you changed the field type from a different one it might have kept this setting. Otherwise this is a Contao or extension conflict.

Where is (style="height:80px").. in the Catalog modules ?

check the HTML source code of the BE. Does that area have a style statement? Don't worry about the catalog at all.

The probleme disappears when you the long text (tinyMCE) is before the folders (file)
