Login to backend from frontend

Just as the title describes:
Is it possible to make a login form in the frontend, that logs you into the backend?

Is there a module I can use for this or do I have to build my own from scratch?

Can't you recreate the login form for the backend. Process it by sending people to the backend or by opening the result using ajax. Either way might log you in?
