    Default Newsletter Template File

    Hi everyone,

I am working on setting up several newsletters in my Contao installation.

Each newsletter should have a different HTML template assigned.

As far as I noticed, there is a default template called mail_default.tpl inside the folder System > Modules > Newsletter > Templates

However after reading the Contao documentation, it says that one should place customized template files in the root template folder so that they don't get over-written during an update/upgrade.

However if I place my customized template file there, it does not appear as an option in the E-Mail template options for the newsletter??

    Thanks!

I would think you can use the "Templates" section in the backend, build the original mail_default.tpl template, then rename it to mail_custom.tpl (as long as mail_ is still there) and do it multiple times as needed. I'll try it out as well.

EDIT: hmmm... it doesn't work. =/

Yeah I am a bit confused. Surely it should be possible to have more than one HTML template for newsletters?

    Hi,

If im right you just want a HTML Newsletter design.

Manually you can add the code into the editor but..

You can also save it as template in the tinymce templates, and select it by clicking on templates(fourth button from the right on the bottom row) in the editor.
